During a workplace evaluation the Occupational therapist visits the work environment in order to evaluate the cognitive and physical demands of the job.
During a workplace evaluation the Occupational therapist visits the work environment in order to evaluate the cognitive and physical demands of the job.
Depending on the situation, this evaluation will provide a basis for recommendations and/or adjustments for the employer and the worker in order to begin a manageable reinsertion into the workplace.
The Occupational therapist will submit a detailed report with recommendations ranging from ergonomic changes of a workstation, to the suggestion of a gradual re-entry schedule. The whole process is done with a primary goal in mind; a successful return to work.
